Frequently Asked Questions About Rotini Con Funghi e Pinoli

1. Do I have to marinate the mushrooms?
For the best flavour, yes — at least 6 hours. In a pinch, marinate while you prep the other ingredients, but the depth won't be the same.
-
2. Can I use a different pasta?
Yes; penne, capellini or spaghettini all work in place of rotini.
-
3. Can I make it without prosciutto?
Yes; leave it out for a vegetarian version and add a little extra olive and sun-dried tomato for savouriness.
-
4. Can I use other mushrooms?
Cremini or portobello work if shiitake aren't available, though the flavour will be milder.
-
5. How do I store leftovers?
